Jared Ingersoll

  • Jared Ingersoll was born October 24,1749 in New Haven, Connecticut.
  • He died on October 31,1822 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
  • He was at first on the side wanting a revision of the Articles of Confederantion, but eventually he changed to the side for planning a New Federal Government.
  • He then signed the Constitution for Pennsylvania.
  • He went to every meeting in the Convention, but he rarely took place in the debates.
  • He was the Attorney General for Pennsylania, twice.
  • He was offered the position of Chief Judge of the Federal Court, but he declined.
