James Mchenry

  • James Mchenry fought in the war for independence in 1776.
  • He missed many of the proceedings at the convention because his brother was ill.
  • Mchenry played an insubtanstial part in the debates.
  • This delagate campainged strenously for the Constitution.
  • He atteneded the state ratifying convention.
  • During 1781 through 1786 he served concurrently in the Continental Congress.
  • In 1784 he married Maragret Allison Coldwell.
  • James McHenry stayed on Washington's staff until 1780.
  • James was in the senate from 1781 to 1786 and again in 1791 to 1796.
