  • William Livingston was born in Albany, NY on November 30th, 1723.
  • Both of his parents died when he was younger. So, he lived with his grandmother until he was 14 years old.
  • He attended Yale and graduated in 1741.
  • He spent a year with a missionary among the Mohawk Indians.
  • William married Susanna French in 1745.
  • Susanna and William had 13 children.
  • He was a delegate at The Constitutional Convention.
  • He did not arrive until June 5th and then he missed several weeks in July.
  • William was 63 when he joined the Convention.
  • He was a chairman at the Convention.
  • William was a supporter of the New Jersey Plan.
  • He was present at the Convention through the signing of the Constitution.
