  • Luther Martin was elected attorney general in 1778 by the citizens of Maryland.
  • He was elected to the Continental Congress in 1785.
  • Luther was 39 years old during this movement.
  • Luther voted against the Virgina Plan.
  • He also opposed the idea of a strong centeral government.
  • Luther attacked the purpose of a new form of government.
  • Before the convetion was over Luther and another delagate walked out therefore not singing the constitution.
